“I created this web site in order to share with a diverse audience my work on the all-important and urgent issue of peace. The web site is also an invitation to join me and many others who are dedicated to the task of promoting peace at all levels — intrapersonal, interpersonal, intergroup, international, and global.
Peace has always been — and continues to be — the most cherished quest of humanity and in our times, its realization seems to be increasingly remote. Conflict, violence, terrorism, and war rule supreme and most of humanity’s scientific, financial, and social resources are spent at their altar.
This juxtaposition of the urgent need for peace and the dire pessimism about its achievement, make it imperative that we invest much more energy and resources for the cause of peace. We need to have a better understanding of how to create peace rather than how to deal with violence. And we require the courage to question current notions about peace and consider new ideas about it. My research and work on peace is based on the thesis that peace will emerge only when it’s main prerequisite — unity — is established.
You are invited to partake in this quest for peace.”
